Inside Tamron's VC (Vibration Compensation):

Shake-free capture plus stable viewing

Tamron's proprietary tri-axial VC image stabilization mechanism suspends the vibration-compensator lens in three steel ball bearings, ensuring reduced friction and ultra-smooth movement. It's also electromagnetically controlled using three widely spaced driving coils, giving it the ability to compensate for lateral, vertical and oblique camera shake.

According to widely published lab and field tests, VC provides excellent tracking and shake-reduction performance along with extremely stable viewfinder images. Mechanical construction is simple and rugged, enhancing reliability and keeping VC lenses as compact, lightweight, and user-friendly as possible.
